About

Dr. Ulviyya Mikayilova is currently served as a Dean of School of Education at ADA University (Baku, Azerbaijan). In 2016-2023 as an Assistant Professor she taught  several courses within Leadership and Management in Education and Effective Teaching and Learning Master's Programs. She has gained a valuable experience as an Early Childhood and Inclusive Education Training, TOT and Policy Expert with diversified ECE & SNE training design, delivery project experience, curriculum development and policy analysis in Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. She also has an extensive Early Childhood Development (ECD), Special Needs Education (SNE) and Child Friendly Schooling (CFS), and other education research project experience. In 2003-2011 she led a first national pilot project on inclusive education in Azerbaijan being a part of the State Program on Inclusive Education in Azerbaijan. In 2021 she served as one of consultants for the Global education monitoring report for the region of Central and Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia: inclusion and education: all means all.

Ulviyya Mikayilova was a Fulbright scholar (Teacher College, Columbia University, 2006). Her teaching experience includes teaching the following courses: Introduction to Gender and Gender and Politics (Baku State University), Monitoring and Evaluation in Education (Azerbaijan State Economic University) and Evaluation of Educational Projects (Baku State University). In 2015-2023 as a visiting faculty she taught the  Social Research Methods course at the Moscow High School of Social and Economic Sciences.
