Forming of Self-consciousness and Professional Motivation in a Young People with Autism and Severe Developmental Disorders Who are Learning Professional Skills

Abstract

Paper presents comprehension of the process of professional skills learning in young people with severe complex developmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorders. Unity of the process of self-consciousness development and formation of professional motivation is revealed through the mechanism of shifting the motive to the goal. Author shows the realization of this consolidated process in the conditions of a creative craft workshop, based on her work as a psychologist in the Center of social adaptation and professional training, Technological college № 21. The case from the work in a sewing and weaving workshop described.
