Abstract

Vladimir Mikhailovich Munipov has been working on development of ergonomics and design for 40 years; he is one of the founders of the Russian scientific research institute for technical aesthetic (ВНИИТЭ). He is the author of more than 300 papers on ergonomics, technical aesthetic, psychology and history of those sciences. V. M. Munipov has participated in editorial boards of all the leading international journals on ergonomics; he is the member of the International Commission on human aspects of computerization and one of the first Russian researches who defended his doctoral thesis in ergonomics. In 2000 «The International encyclopedia of ergonomics and human factors» published V. M. Munipov's biography among 39 outstanding researchers from all over the world. In the current paper it was intended to publish V. M. Munipov's creative portrait but his interview deals with such a wide range of topical issues that the editorial board has rejected good-humored genre of «creative portrait» and published the discussion tapescript.
