Abstract

This paper was written based on the report made at the International Conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Kharkiv School of Psychology (Kharkiv, October, 2012) hosted by G.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University. It offers the reader both personal impressions and memories of the author about the events and people and those drawn out of stories of representatives of the older gen- eration of psychologists involved in these events. The author is not a science historian and did not make it a point to give a complete, historiographic account of history of Kharkiv school of psychology. I thank Anton Yasnitskyi, a professional psychology historian, for his remarks and updates.
