Psychophysical characteristics of memory in a laboratory experiment and under natural conditions

Abstract

The results of an experimental study of psychophysical characteristics of short and long-term memory in the line length discrimination task in laboratory and natural conditions are presented. The factors of peculiarities of the stimuli compared (spatial orientation) and peculiarities of presentation of standard patterns (one by one or paired) are shown to have effect on the value of subjective standard patterns, whereas the differential thresholds and accuracy of discrimination do not change. Gravitational-inertial forces do not affect psychophysical indexes as compared to normal conditions.
