Abstract

«The life of revend Evfrosinia Polotskaya» taken from the handwritten collection №632 was investigated using the XVI version of the book, first published in 1862 in “Memorials of ancient Russian literature”, the publisher is G.A. Kushelev-Bezborodko”. But in this redaction the book isn’t published completely, a lot of distortions were made, moreover, it’s mentioned, that publication of the book was made on the basis of the list of XVI century of Troyatskaya lavra. Studying manuscript in details gives an idea that it belongs to Iosifo-Volotsky monastery collection №632. The article gives textual analysis of manuscript.
