Abstract

The article is devoted to consideration of the metaphor from the perspective of cultural linguistics as a new area of knowledge that studies the interaction between language and culture. It demonstrates some metaphor characteristics as one of the figurative - expressive means. The article emphasizes the importance of metaphors to reflect national-cultural specificity of a language.
