Can society be educated? Bolsheviks and Culture during the Formation of the Soviet State
Abstract
The article deals with the issues of the problem field and the modern historiographical situation in the study of the cultural policy of the Soviet state in the 20s of the twentieth century. The work was carried out on the basis of a system analysis, taking into account the interdisciplinary perspective of the study. The results of the study complement the palette of historical and cultural studies of the phenomenon of the cultural revolution in Soviet history. The author expresses the idea of the need for further research on the topic outside of ideological clichés and stereotypes, which can be carried out on the theoretical and methodological basis of an updated version of the unitary-stage approach to history.
