Terms by M.B. Panov as a Mirror of the Scientist's Mind

The relevance is conditioned by the interest of researchers to the problems of creative thinking work, as well as the ways of its study by verbalized results of specific authors' activity. The article considers the relevance of terms and their definitions for extracting information about cognitive styles and types of thinking on the example of scientific creativity of M.V. Panov. The methods of content analysis and comparative analysis were used in the course of the research. The materials of the study were scientific works by M.V. Panov. Conclusions were made about the manifestation of such cognitive styles as flexible cognitive control, cognitive complexity, narrow range of equivalence, sharpening, and gender-independent thinking in the researched author. In addition, M.V. Panov's thinking combined the properties of scientific and artistic, and such a speech and thinking operation as ‘detailing’ was used in term creation.
