Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the features of auditory perception and reproduction of written texts (statements) by hearing-impaired schoolchildren studying in special (correctional) educational institutions. The experiment was attended by 40 students of the 5th grade of boarding school No. 10 for hearing impaired and late-deaf children in Moscow. The author revealed the peculiarities of perception and understanding of lexical meanings of words, meanings of grammatical forms of words, syntactic constructs and possibilities of written presentation of text.
