Abstract

The article discusses specifics of the Russian management, taking into account its national features. The objectives of the article were: to study the construct of «mentality», the characteristics of the «Russian mentality» and influence of the «Russian mentality» on the Russian style of management. The authors consider that management is a form of expressing the mentality. In this context it is argued that the Russian management can neither be a blind imitation or a complete denial of the western or eastern experience in management. According to the authors the Russian managers have to form their own management style. The main features of such a style should include: flexibility, adaptability and mobility. The following issues should be taken into account: established dualism of the mentality, its differences in different regions and the vastness of the country.
