Ethnic and Professional in the Metaindividual Space

Author makes an attempt to overcome the dissociation of understanding the person’s professional way from the category of culture, cultural world, and to find the common ground of ethno-cultural and professional in the inner world of a man. During the enculturation course a person interiorizes the cultural meanings, adopts the world’s cultural properties, according to which he constructs a system of organization and interaction with own inner world, including those in the profession. High levels of self-expression in the profession suggest the maximum realization of person’s potential abilities and reserves, its peculiar features, including ethno-cultural. This article describes the interaction forms of ethnic and professional self-awareness. The role of reflection as a systemic regulator of this process is emphasized. The concept of metaindividual ethnic space by V.Yu. Hotinets and the concept of leveled organization of mental processes by A.V. Karpov serve as the theoretical basis of the study.
