Abstract

The article analyses peculiarities of development of movement functions (dynamic, kinesthetic, spatial praxis, reciprocal coordination of movements) and spatial representations in primary school children (1st – 3rd grades) with recurrent respiratory viral infections. Cross-sectional neuropsychological investigation, carried out on the sample of 194 pupils of Vladivostok secondary schools – 98 children with recurrent respiratory viral infections and 96 with normal somatic health – is described. The investigation has displayed that reciprocal coordination of movements, dynamic and kinesthetic praxis in children with recurrent respiratory viral infections in all the age groups investigated are developed at the lower levels compared to primary school children with normal health (р<0,01). Insufficient development of optic-constructive activity is revealed that becomes apparent in structural-topological and metric mistakes, underdevelopment of normative strategy of perception and copying (р<0,01). Insufficient development of movements and spatial representations in the situation when learning load is increasing and learning material is growing more complicated procreates difficulties in teaching children with recurrent respiratory viral infections.
