Carrying out group neuropsychological diagnostics

Abstract

The article shows the possibility of using methods of group neuropsychological diagnostics for examination of primary school pupils in psychologist’s work. The effectiveness of proposed tests adapted for group diagnostics is confirmed by a 6-year experience of approbation of the method in regular and inclusive classes. The aim of group diagnostics is the screening research for identification of children falling into the risk group for education difficulties and needing further support of psychologist and teacher. Carrying out neuropsychological tests in the group makes it possible to evaluate with sufficient accuracy the level of development of such important for school education functions as active attention, programming and control of activity, serial movement organization, audio-verbal memory, visual gnosis, as well as visual and spatial functions. The most attention in the article is given to the description of those methods which are most effective in a group situation and are illustrative for identification of strengths and weaknesses of functional development of each child. The described methods are supplemented by examples of usage.
