Abstract

We present the number of convicted persons, including minors, in Switzerland, the types of institutions of its penitentiary system. We analyzed the basic principles of criminal law and pedagogical principles of the Center of educational measures application for juveniles. We show the basic objectives of the Center: personal development, therapy, school education, vocational training. On the examples of the Centers of educational measures application in Uitikon and Neuhof, we analyze the ratio of convicted juveniles and educators, consider a model of the Centers' activity, show the system of rewards and punishments, living conditions and health standards for minors and youth (aged up to 25 years). The author presents photos that give visual representations of the living conditions in a living room, sports facilities, workrooms. The article is important for the employees of the penitentiary system in Russia and all those interested in issues of prevention of deviant behavior of minors, given that in our country the reorganization of correctional facilities is carried out, and many elements of the Centers of the penitentiary system of the Swiss Confederation and implemented in Russia.
