Abstract

Author dicusses the problems of today’s democracies that are connected to increasing international migration. He mentions especially the rise of extreme-right political parties, changes in the attitudes to immigrants, as well as the problems caused illegal immigration. Europe will have to get used to increased Muslim presence on the continent and accept it, though it poses a certain threat to democracy as we know it.
