Applied Ethnopsychology: Answers for Topical Social Challenges

Abstract

The Third Russian scientific and practical conference "Applied Ethnopsychology: Topical Issues and Perspectives of Development. The Wolrds of Culture and the Culture of the World" was held on the 11th—12th of March 2011. The conference included two poster-sessions: "Applied ethnopsychology: children and youths, teachers and students" and "Applied aspects of ethnopsychology: tolerance and identity, migration and national character". The conference participant were actively involved into the discussion workshops such as "Applied ethnopsychological research", "Problems of development of trans-cultural competence", "Ethnocultural methods of psychological support", "Policultural education and the world culture in educational environment", "Bilingual education and teaching migrants". The leading ethnopsychologists organized workshops "Psychological technologies of arrangement of constructive cross-cultural communication in educational system", "Psychodrama and ehnocultural techniques: dreams-hunters", "Ethnic dance as a means of self-expression", "Correlations between pupils' learning motives and their families' values", "Strategies of a psychologist's collaboration with an educator in poliethnic educational environment", "Socio-psychological approach to development of tools for ethnocentrism decrease".
