Abstract

This paper provides a brief report on the establishment of a new Section of Theatre Psychology and Pedagogy at the Moscow branch of the Russian Psychological Society. The Section was founded by V.S. Sobkin, professor, academician of the Russian Academy of Education. During the first meeting members of the Section discussed possible research issues and topics, outlined a work plan for the nearest future and appointed speakers. It is worth mentioning that the establishment of this section is of high impor- tance to school education and youth socialization. The meetings of the Section will take place on a monthly basis.
