The journal Autism and Developmental Disorders invites authors to submit articles for the issue dedicated to methods of Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC)
The editorial board of the journal Autism and Developmental Disorders (Russia) is announcing a call for papers for a special issue dedicated to pressing issues in the use of Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC).
The guest editor for this issue is Tamara Isaeva, PhD in Education and Associate Professor at the Department of Clinical Foundations of Special Pedagogics at Moscow Pedagogical State University.
We invite researchers, practitioners, and other professionals in the field of psychology, neuropsychology, clinical psychology, education, social work, speech therapy, and other related disciplines to submit their scientific studies, practical work, and analytical reviews on topics including:
- Research on AAC application in various settings;
- Needs analysis and specifics of using AAC tools in comprehensive support for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other developmental disorders;
- Professional tranings and the development of professional skills in AAC and their development: approaches and solutions;
- Use of digital technologies in AAC for rehabilitation and education of children, adolescents and adults with the developmental disorders
- Case studies on the implementation of AAC in educational institutions
The editorial welcome papers that reflect both theoretical research and practical experiences in the application of AAC across a range of contexts – educational, social, medical, and family-based.
The submission deadline is 15 December 2024.
