On digital competence of preschool educators in the Journal "Psychological-Educational Studies"

The first issue of the 2026 volume of the journal "Psychological-Educational Studies" has been published (No. 1, 2026). The issue includes the traditional three sections: Educational Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Methodology and Technology of Education.

In the "Developmental Psychology" section, there is an overview of research on the effect size of using digital devices on various aspects of mental development and learning in children aged 3 to 12 years, as well as the results of a study among preschool educators on their digital competence level and readiness to foster digital literacy in preschoolers.

In the "Educational Psychology" section, you can find the results of studies on the relationship between behavioral self-regulation indicators and autonomous regulation of learning activities in the second phase of primary school age; the formation and qualitative features of the subject position (student’s position) and motivation for learning among primary school students; age-related changes in the structure of academic motivation among students in 4th, 8th, and 10th grades; psychological factors influencing the process of collaborative problem-solving of experimental research tasks by adolescents; as well as insights into approaches to understanding teachers' conflict competence in a digital educational environment and the concept of teacher agency as a resource for overcoming difficult situations in professional activities.

Authors of the "Methodology and Technology of Education" section introduce readers to a multilevel model of managing continuous professional development of teaching staff and managerial personnel, and demonstrate the importance of developing and implementing flexible models of succession that ensure interdisciplinary integration of general and additional education.
