On March 11, 2026, the first meeting of the “Co-Author Reading Club” in 2026 will take place as part of the “Science in Publications” series. The meeting is held with the support of the MSUPE “Boiling Point” platform. The topic of the meeting will focus on the relationship between parents’ psychological characteristics and children’s emotional well-being.

The speaker will present the results of an empirical study of preschool children’s emotional well-being in the context of the social situation of development, as well as its connection with such parental characteristics as resilience, parenting styles, and individual defense patterns in situations of marital conflict.

The following questions will be addressed:

  • what constitutes the emotional well-being of a preschool child and how its assessment can support psychologists’ practical work;
  • what additional factors should be considered: how parental personality traits and parenting styles are related to a child’s emotional well-being;
  • which methods are most relevant for assessing preschoolers’ emotional well-being and how to select appropriate indicators.

The webinar will be of particular interest to psychologists, early childhood educators, and family support specialists.
