Emotional Intelligence and Its Development in Family Settings
Abstract
The paper reviews concepts of emotional intelligence most commonly represented in Western psychological and pedagogical works. It also describes one of the training programmes aimed at helping parents to become their children's 'emotional coaches'. The author emphasises the importance of emotional sphere as a component of school readiness.
