Abstract

The change of representations of dream interpretation within the limits of psychodynamic paradigm is observed. The views of Z.Freud, A.Adler, K.Jung on dreaming are considered to be the basic marks of development of dream theory. Each of them has brought the contribution to the theory of dreams; thus additions and changes are concerned mainly by those contexts from which dreams symbols are interpreted. As a general result of the overview the author's classification of interpretive contexts is proposed which can be used to understand symbols meaning in dreams. In conclusion the phenomenological approach to dreams is discussed which comes beyond psychodynamic theory limits.
