Abstract

The problem of the need for psychological assistance is considered in the context of dialogical approach. The principal ideas of dialogical approach and their differences from the traditional ideas of psychological counselling are described. An empirical classification of the possible initial psychological states of the client and the corresponding types of motivation for seeking psychological assistance is presented.
