Psychological Media-Counseling As A Specific Form Of Psychological Help

Psychological media counseling is a specific form of psychological assistance, characterized by a single public response the counselor gives to an anonymous request. The author points to the problem of scarcity of theoretical and methodological recommendations for the implementation of media counseling. Based on the experience of cooperation with the university newspaper the author conducts an analysis of the subject, objectives, conditions, means of this activity, gives recommendations for carrying it out. The paper focuses on the educational and preventive functions of media counseling. The introduction of the respective topics in the academic program of the «Counseling Psychology» course is proposed.
