Abstract

The study presents the computer method «The stability of self-regulation actions in tracking a moving object» (SSMO) for objective evaluation of effectiveness, regulation and reliability of actions in situations of different degrees of mental tension. The program also allows to simulate situations of success and failure and to investigate the impact of actions in these conditions. The experimental study is carried out on a sample of rescuers of the Ministry for Emergency Situations (65 pers., at the age of 18 to 50 years) and university students (40 pers., at the age of 18 to 22 years). The results of the experiment showed that the representatives of the two groups with the high and the low number of total number of points vary according to all indicators of SSMO assessment (effectiveness, regulation and reliability of actions). The high reliability of regulation is associated with high achievement motivation, as well as with high reliability actions in situations of achieving the aims. The results of the research testify to a high construct and criterion-related validity of the presented techniques.
