Abstract

The essay is devoted to understanding the content of the exhibition "From Baroque to Modern", organized by Vasily Tropinin`s Museum in Moscow in the spring-summer season - 2022 and reflected attempts of finding the key features of Russian spirituality in a glance of active interaction between Russian and European art in the 18th – 19th centuries. The artistic content of the exposition is considered in this essay in connection with the Italian impressions and memories of Fyodor Dostoevsky and the writer's ideas about the development of Russian culture.
