Abstract

Modern methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language to students majoring in technical and construction fields focus on developing professional communicative competence through the implementation of all types of speech activity (VRA). This article analyzes textbooks designed for international students majoring in construction and studying Russian. The primary methodological focus of these textbooks is to develop the communicative and professional competence of international students majoring in construction through the consistent development of all types of speech activity. In terms of methodological organization, these textbooks demonstrate a high level of compliance with the requirements for educational materials in Russian as a foreign language. Their structure reflects the principles of subject-language integration, functionality, consistency, and practical orientation of training. Particular attention is paid to a communicative-activity approach, ensuring the development of professional speech competence in international students. The methodological features of these textbooks include predominantly tasks for understanding, analyzing, and processing information, rather than just reproducing it. As a result, international students develop skills in working with professional information and terminology.
