Abstract

The author gives a detailed analysis of the literature on the problem of diagnosing the mental development of preschoolers. The concept of mental development, developed under the leadership of L.A. Wenger, is described. As an example of pedagogical diagnostics for preschool children, the diagnosis offered in the Development program is given. Separately, the diagnosis of mental talent is considered.
