Abstract

The article discusses the problem of children's readiness for school. The author defines psychological readiness for schooling as a necessary and sufficient level of actual development of the child, in which the school curriculum falls into the "zone of immediate development" of the child. Theoretical problems of psychological readiness for school were developed by L.S. Vygotsky, L.I., Bozhovich, D.B. Elkonin. Based on these provisions, the author has developed a diagnostic program to determine the psychological readiness of children 6-7 years old for school. This program consists of games and game tasks with rules that allow you to determine the level of affective-need (motivational), arbitrary, intellectual and speech spheres. The described program is valid, reliable and prognostic. The program is designed for children starting at 5 years 6 months.
