Psychological knowledge in the arsenal of means of practical psychologist

The article discusses the concepts of "psychotherapy," "counseling," "correction," their distinctive features, and the main functions of each direction. Further, we are talking about the work and functions of a psychologist in the education system, a psychotherapist and a clinical psychologist, as well as the concepts of scientific and unscientific psychological knowledge are divided. A database of knowledge necessary for practical psychologists (psychological, medical, pedagogical, social, everyday) is allocated, the importance of each of them in the activities of a practical psychologist is discussed, a decoding of concepts is given. The importance of comprehensive interaction of all the above areas in the work of a practical psychologist is indicated.
