Abstract

The author proposes a variable model for assessing the mental health of children of preschool and primary school age, based on the identification of psychophysical and socio-psychological indicators. The following parameters are included in this model: indicators of the maturity of the nervous system; psycho-emotional characteristics, including the child's learning abilities; communicative characteristics; characteristics of his social well-being (in the family). The author believes that the study of the factors that ensure the mental well-being of the child helps to identify problems in the development of the regional population of children and to adopt programs to eliminate threatening socio-psychological trends.
