On the developing nature of the modern system of additional education for children and young people
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to identify the main trends in the development of the system of modern additional education of children and youth in the aspect of the paradigm of developing education. The author divided modern concepts of additional education into two groups: 1) concepts built on general pedagogical humanistic principles without developing an educational and developmental aspect; 2) concepts in which, along with the pedagogical aspect, there are psychological, educational and developing aspects of the organization of the pedagogical process. The concept of "developmental education" does not rely on appropriate methodological and technological grounds. The analysis revealed a stable trend from the traditional approach to the development of concepts of additional education to concepts built truly on the basis of the paradigm of developing education.
