Abstract

The article explains the reason for the lack of a professionographic approach in assessing the effectiveness of a psychologist. The problem of the insufficiency of the gnostic approach in learning is raised, it is proposed to make knowledge not a goal, but a means of becoming a professional. Four aspects of the professional consciousness of a psychologist are described, which are now most in need of discussion. In particular, psychologists' consciousness of the multifunctionality of their profession and their position in relation to teachers.
