Abstract

The present work is devoted to the research of unrealized aspects of mediated contact between a mother and a child in families with children who have chronic diseases of digestive system. The author means the communication between mother and child mediated by subject or symbolical activity and some unrecognized aspects of this communication that are connected with the expression of relations between partners of communication. In the research 88 "mother₃child" pairs (children of 8–10 years and their mothers) took part, 44 pairs made the experimental group. The received results allow to conclude that a child – mother contact in families of children with gastropathology is characterized by some formality of relations and insufficiency of emotionally warm contact. These families also are more closed in relation to the external world. Mothers of these children are more anxious, but their anxiety frequently has ostentatious character. They mostly aspire to show that they are "good mums" and have "correct" approach to a child, to the detriment of original acceptance and satisfaction of emotional needs of a child. The specified features of the relations are reflected in the character of the communication between a mother and a child who has in particular big deficiency in symbols of positive acceptance (a choice of a gift, entertainment, etc.), insensibility to emotionally significant things for the child (a favourite book, toy, etc.), to parameters of child's mood, health state, expectations.
