Psychological consequences of lack of positive emotional male function representation in a family and educational environment

Abstract

The article discusses influence of lack of positive emotional male function representation in a family and in school on the gender-role identity formation in boys. How invariant aspects of father figure significance influence gender-role identity development is analyzed. New facts of father image influence on gender role identity development in adolescent boys are presented. Some basic steps in psycho correctional work with highly feminine boys are proposed.
