The markers of protective and coping behavior safety in the educational environment

Abstract

We discuss the problem of safety of protective and coping behavior of a person in the educational environment. We assumed that this behavior can be safe for human and social environment, as well as unsafe. The study involved more than 200 respondents (average age is 20 years), students of professional educational institutions of Yekaterinburg. For data analysis we used the following methods: comparative analysis, two-step cluster analysis and exploratory factor analysis. The study identified groups of respondents with normal and impaired safety of protective behavior, and described the strategies of coping with safe and unsafe direction, used by students. The paper states that there is a safe type of person who are able, without prejudice to themselves and people around them to build their lives and to resist stresses.
