The research proved the adequacy of students’ graphic representation of real and virtual (computer 3D models) of technical objects. Basing on the results obtained the educational methods utilizing students’ representations of three-dimensional virtual learning object implemented by the means of informational technologies and 3D-modelling. In the course of methods development mechanisms of human memory functioning at different levels – short-term, operative and long-term – were taken into consideration. Implementation of the developed methods in the education process allowed to increase professional competence of basic professional education facilities alumni from reproductive to productive and creative levels.
