Specifics of fears of children from problem families and their correction

The contribution is devoted to the relevant problem of helping the growing number of children with disorders in the emotional sphere. This problem is especially relevant in regard of children from problem families who stay in different children’s institutions. The problem of child fears is insufficiently reseached in relation to preschool children from problem families. The contribution describes a research, the aim of which was the development and approbation of a psychocorrectional program aimed at elimination of fears among children from problem families staying in a social shelter. The following methods were used: conversation, supervision, interview, forming experiment. The contribution emphasizes that children who are brought up in the conditions of shelter are subject only to direct work which must be directed toward formation of specific skills and personal qualities. It presents comparative results of research of fears among preschool children from problem and safe families. It makes conclusions from the diagnostic part of the research.
