New educational programs for teaching preventive work with children

Abstract

The contribution analyzes a three-level model of prevention of offences committed by adolescents and offences against children and adolescents. The proposed model of prevention of offences takes into account the peculiarities of psychical and physical state of the adolescent in the period when he needs support and care from grown-ups and presents the experience of implementing recovering justice. In 2005 the authors of the contribution initiated work on the program “Modern strategies of militia on prevention of adolescent crime in Ukraine” which was supported by the Department of Criminal militia for children of the Ministry of the Interior of Ukraine and the Swiss cooperation office in Ukraine. Later the Institute for problems of drug addictions and drug-related crime and the Ukrainian Concord Center .
