Peculiarities of reactions of adolescents with aggressive unlawful behavior in frustration situation

Abstract

The contribution examines the peculiarities of reactions of adolescents with aggressive unlawful behavior in frustration situation. It analyzes statistical data related to the level of juvenile crime in the Russian Federation, briefly describes the approaches to the research of risk factors of criminal aggression among adolescents. It presents the results of an empirical research aimed at identification of psychological patterns of behavior of adolescents in problem situations. It is shown that minor with criminal aggressive behavior have a high level of proactive aggressiveness. When faced with frustration they tend to fix on the negative aspects of the events assuming that the problem will solve itself. If it does not happen they react aggressively. Well-developed communicative skills may be viewed as a factor preventing aggressive behavior. But this factor may not lead to suppression of aggressive impulses in conditions of dissocial environment and group pressure.
