Research of axiological and motivational spheres of personality of the officers of the Federal Penal Service on different stages of professional activity

Abstract

The effectiveness of professional activity largely depends on the match of axiological and motivational aspects of the activity. This contribution examines the results of the research of axiological and motivational spheres of personality of the officers of the Federal Penal Service on different stages of professional activity. The research included the following directions: general axiological orientations and estimation of their realization in life; level of subjective control (external and internal); personality’s orientation (itself, communication, activity); motivation for avoidance of failure and motivation for success. As a result the author identified and described the peculiarities of axiological and motivational spheres of personality of the officers of the Federal Penal Service on different stages of professional activity, which will allow to extend the perception of the system of axiological orientations and motivation of professionals. The results of the research open the prospects for both further scientific research and real practical activity of the psychological service of the Federal Penal Service.
