Self-acceptance and awareness of the social dimension of self-image in adolescents

The article deals with the issues of self-awareness and self-acceptance in the context of relating moral and ethical behavior of the individual with his own ideas about his properties and capabilities, characteristics of components and processes of the Self that affect the implementation of organizational, regulatory and protective functions necessary to ensure the socio-normative behavior. As with the self-image one reflects and structures his own personality, and using the functions of the self, organizes own activities one way or another, the problem field for psychological study exists not only within the so-called "normal", but in the clinical pathology as well. The study perspective expands the understanding of self-acceptance and self-awareness of the self-image (the social dimension of the self) in adolescents with a tendency to deviant behavior. We identified and described the most important theoretical and practical aspects of the study of consciousness and self-acceptance within developmental psychology of personality and social behavior of adolescents. These data identify the reference points needed when dealing with personal-semantic sphere of teenagers who have a tendency to deviant behavior.
