Abstract

The paper addresses the issue of the impact of fiction on the development of ideals, principles and values in young Russians. It explores the main mechanisms underlying this process and analyzes outcomes of a survey on the young people's interest in reading. The paper also outlines interdependence between various factors affecting the range of reading interests in the subjects.
