Motivational Discourse of Personality: Quantitative Characteristics and Comparative Analysis

1158

Abstract

The paper focuses on the features of motivational discourse of personality which is seen as a text created by an individual in the interactional process and containing certain moti¬vational constructs subject to be read. Basing on the narrative interview method developed by F. Schutze combined with motivational and discursive impulse and on A. Schutz's concepts of "because-of" and "in-order-to" motivation the paper proposes a set of indices enabling qual-itative assessment of the motivational discourse. The analysis of the empirical data revealed certain age, gender and inner differences. A typology of the motivational discourses of per-sonality is also presented in the paper.
