On November 17–20, 2026, Moscow will host the All-Russian Interuniversity Scientific and Practical Forum with International Participation “The Time of L.S. Vygotsky: From Fundamental Theory to Contemporary Practice.”

The Forum Organizing Committee has approved the main areas (tracks) of academic discussion and the structure of the thematic sessions. In addition to fundamental issues of cultural-historical theory, the Forum will focus on four key areas of practical application:

  • Psychology of education: designing developmental education in the context of the digital transformation of schools; continuity between preschool and school education.
  • Clinical and special psychology of childhood: the zone of proximal development in the diagnosis and correction of developmental disorders; the neuropsychological approach through the lens of cultural-historical theory.
  • Work and organizational psychology: the mediation of professional activity by digital tools and artificial intelligence; professional burnout and agency.
  • Social services and counseling: psychological support for families, adolescent crises, deviant behavior, and the development of social support programs.

The Forum’s program will include the strategic round table “The Legacy of L.S. Vygotsky in the State Education Policy of the Russian Federation,” with the participation of representatives of relevant committees of the State Duma, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, and heads of regional education authorities.

As traditionally, a significant part of the Forum will be devoted to youth laboratories and a section for young researchers (under the age of 39), where postgraduate and undergraduate students will be able to present their research under the mentorship of leading experts representing the Russian school of psychology.
