Abstract

The article presents the results of a study of one kind of well-education and mal-education naive representations. As a source of information about naive ideas shared by large groups, a corpus of 2048 online discussions on entertaining, political and educational video in the Russian-language YouTube, was used. Texts were processed with the TITANIS a tool of causative-emotive analysis allows to extract an elementary emotional situation description as a construction consisting of the verb of bringing into an emotional state (emotive), and dependent causative, and experiencer. Frequently reproduced combinations of the emotive and the arguments are considered as textual realizations of naive representations of typical emotional situations involving well- or mal-educated people, as well as typical manifestations of well- or mal-education. It was revealed that in naive representations, people with a high educational and intellectual level are attributed a tendency to negative emotions of insult, humiliation and resentment, and the role of a source of admiration, interest and surprise is attributed to typical manifestations of education and intelligence. The naive representations of mal-education is less emotional in general compared to ones of well-education. The data obtained may be of interest in the context of the formation of a value attitude towards education and intelligence.
