Abstract

This article examines the features of educational creolized texts for foreign students, with the help of which the specifics of the functioning of the concept “CITY” are revealed. The scientific works of famous scientists devoted to the nature of the concept have been studied. Based on the analysis of dictionary entries, the core of the concept “CITY” was described, as well as its features within the framework of the Russian national worldview were considered. The verbal and non-verbal components of creolization, representing the concept of “CITY” in educational publications on Russian as a foreign language, have been systematically studied. An independent classification of thematic groups has been developed and characterized, the elements of which translate the concept of “CITY” in the analyzed didactic material. Based on the counting method, the most frequent lexemes representing this concept were identified. The specifics of the disclosure of the concept of “CITY” in various texts are investigated.
