Using the “Mini-projects” Method to Optimize the Personalization of Learning in the Context of Digitalization of the Education System
Abstract
The focus on the formation of students' project competencies appeared in school quite a long time ago, but it became firmly established after the introduction of the Federal State Educational Standard for Secondary General Education (FSES SGE). According to the FSES SGE, the curriculum of a high school student's education includes work on an individual final project (IFP) as a compulsory one. The purpose of introducing IFP is clear - development of teamwork skills (in particular, the ability to work with the project leader and a group of students on a common direction, but in an individual interpretation), development of creativity, development of the ability to find common points of view and receive and feedback, as well as to critically evaluate the result. We used a criterion-based approach to evaluate a traditional computer science lesson and identified markers of functional literacy formation and personalization of education using a tool we created - a lesson evaluation sheet. Using this tool, we determined that modern competencies are formed not only within the framework of project pedagogical technologies - the main thing is that they should be active teaching methods. We have developed a new method of active learning – the "Miniprojects" method, which allows us to combine case methods and project-based pedagogical technologies and orient students to create unique information products within the framework of IPI preparation. Our research shows that the "Miniprojects" method fits into the personal-developmental environment of an educational organization and, in addition to the above-mentioned competencies, allows developing the personal potential of students - the formation of an active position for evaluating the content of the lesson, creative self-expression as a way of evaluating the usefulness of the lesson and self-actualization, manifested as interest in the products of project activities.
