Subculture of Behavior of a Modern University Teacher as a Resource of Personal Safety
Abstract
The article is aimed at studying some aspects of the behavior subculture: loyalty to the existing organizational culture, opposition to the established order, the employee’s search for support and approval, social conformism, organizational deviance and subjective security. In the empirical study, a questionnaire for diagnosing the psychotype of the subculture of behavior of employees by V.E. Petrov was used in combination with a structured conversation. 70 teachers from three universities in Moscow took part (average teaching experience is 6.2 years). On the basis of descriptive statistics and assessment of differences in contrasting (according to the criterion of organizational loyalty) groups, it has been established that persons with organizational deviance do not demonstrate loyalty to the existing organizational culture, by their contra-behavior they strive to achieve subjective security, provide a kind of “0comfort zone”, and within the legal framework express disagreement with the forms and methods of organizing the pedagogical process, the distribution of the teaching load. The material is aimed at improvement of the psychological foundations of management in an educational organization.
